Classics with a Can

Identity & Event Design.

CLASSIC DESIGN.

Classics with a Can is an art event where I present basic art techniques with the purpose of creating art with the medium of spray paint.

CHALLENGE: Take a medium originally designed to paint mailboxes and lawn chairs to a whole new level; simultaneously informing others on how to create art with spray paint.

GOAL: Attendants of Classics with a Can learn timeless painting techniques that can be applied to other artistic mediums — going beyond just spraying and into real art creation.

SOLUTION: Studying the masters and applying their painting techniques; but on a much larger scale. Applying my theory of “The 3 Types of Sprays” to take the art out of the museum galleries and bring it to the streets.

This event was held at Farmingdale State College with the students from the Smart Scholars program.
